◆アルバム「Everything I Thought It Was」リリース！
遂に2024年3月15日に「Man of the Woods」以来約6年ぶりとなるアルバム「Everything I Thought It Was」がリリースされました。
すでに美しいメロディが特徴の先行シングル「Selfish」は、US Billboard Hot 100にて19位、UK Singles (OCC)で29位を記録し、そしてプロモ・シングル「Drown」もUS Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles (Billboard)にて1位、UK Singles (OCC)にて30位を記録しています。
※US Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles ：Billboard Hot 100チャートにまだランクインしていない上位の曲を対象としたチャート。
そしてアルバム「Everything I Thought It Was」では1曲1曲をじっくりと楽しめる楽曲に溢れています。
最近の曲はストリーミングサービスの影響もあり短めになりがちですが、逆に7分や5分を超える楽曲もあり、アルバムのボリュームが凄いです。
ジャスティンの才能がこのアルバムにギュッと詰め込まれていて、ファンとしては嬉しい限りです。
今回の和訳ですが正直難しく、直訳すべきか比喩的表現なのか判断に迷う箇所が複数ありました。
